✓ Integrated design with control system on one skid
Pig Launcher & Receiver Skids
Complete pigging stations for long-distance oil and gas pipelines: launcher skids, receiver skids and combined launcher–receiver packages with quick-opening closures, positioning sensors and automated pressure control — for pre-commissioning gauging and routine wax removal, descaling and in-line inspection.
Working Principle
The station safely inserts pigs (cup pigs, foam pigs or intelligent inspection tools) into a live pipeline and receives them at the far end, using pressure balancing across quick-opening closures.
- Launching: the pig is loaded and sealed in the barrel, pressurised to pipeline pressure; opening the kicker line drives the pig into the mainline by differential pressure.
- Receiving: the arriving pig triggers a position sensor; the barrel is isolated, depressurised to a safe level, then the quick-opening closure is opened for retrieval.
- The control system monitors pressure and temperature throughout, automatically drains and resets the station after each run.
Application Scenarios
- Oil & gas trunk lines: wax removal, descaling, in-line inspection runs.
- Chemical & pharmaceutical process lines: clearing residual product to prevent blockage or contamination.
- Municipal water and gas mains maintenance.
- Offshore: subsea pipeline pigging with corrosion-resistant design for harsh environments.
