As a benchmark "gazelle" enterprise in high-end oil & gas equipment manufacturing, CGOT treats technological innovation as the lifeblood of its development. The company holds more than 100 patents (including 24 inventions), 1 software copyright and 3 CCC plus 1 CQC product certifications — technical strength recognised by national authorities.

R&D results are deployed at China's largest energy groups — Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC and PipeChina — and include domestically leading products such as desert oil & gas processing units, high-efficiency vacuum phase-change heating furnace skids, and intelligent recovery-and-utilisation systems for associated gas.

The flagship achievement is the unmanned, high-temperature-resistant oil & gas processing unit: skid-based, intelligent and remotely operated, it breaks through oil–liquid separation and centralised single-well gathering challenges and won Shandong First (Set) technical equipment certification in 2023.

Built around the intelligent production base and a dedicated research building, CGOT operates a complete innovation chain from basic research through product development to process optimisation — supported by a provincial industrial design centre, a "one enterprise, one technology" R&D centre and a CNAS-accredited laboratory.
